PP filter element is a polypropylene filter element made of 100% polypropylene material. Polypropylene is one of those versatile filter media that is the most stable and least reactive to most industrial fluids. They are made of food grade PP material, heat sealed and adhesive free. Advanced technology is used to maintain the precision of its filter diameter.
PP spun and meltblown filter elements are used in general liquid filtration such as removal of larger particulate matter. They are fixed at 2.5 inches or 4 inches in diameter, but vary in length in multiples of 10 inches, such as 10 inches, 20 inches, 30 inches, 40 inches or more. Fabrics made of PP are constructed in a pleated form and have a better filtration efficiency than other media and are therefore used for critical filtration. These are known as pleated PP elements. They are also typically 2.5 inches in diameter, with filtration efficiencies of 0.2, 0.45, 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 microns, and are also available in lengths of 10 inches and multiples of 10 inches. They are also available in different end cap configurations such as Double Open End (DOE), Single Open End (SOE), Code 7, etc.
Polypropylene material has a wide range of compatibility making it suitable for many applications. Therefore used in water, chemical, solvent and gas applications.
The advantages of PP filter elements are as follows:
With high filtration capacity
Higher traffic
Compatible with most chemicals
Easy installation method
Environmental Operating System
